Hey Mitch,

Glad to hear from you!

I used SpamAssassin for a time, and it is very efficient. But I've used Gmail since it's debut and in my opinion, the spam filtering is the best. What's really cool, is Google Apps will host your domain email giving you the Gmail interface and all the cool stuff that goes with it.

Had that Nigerian prince been able to lower my mortgage, then I probably would have taken him up!
I was musing on the whole spam thing the other day myself, trying to determine if SpamAssassin would help or hurt. I wondered if Spam would ever "go away", but as you've said, it is a reality of communication. If anything, it has more filters than most. I can't prevent credit card offers from arriving at my house or DirectTV from calling during dinner. At least with email I can do a little traffic directing. As for IM and SMS, I think they will go through a "spam phase" as they mature into accepted forms of communication.
Keep up the blog!
