IMified Down

Just as I begin to rely on it, IMified is down. It was hit-and-miss for me all weekend, and completely down today. I guess that’s why it’s called beta.

On Being Healthy

Each weekend I say to myself, “I’ll polish off the last of the ice cream on Sunday, and then Monday morning I’ll start eating right, running again, and drop about 10 pounds.” It’s Monday, and here I sit in front of the computer, eating a handful of chocolate chips, the pounds slowly creeping on. I [...]

Site slow today…

Every page on my site is taking for-flippin’-ever to load. What’s the deal?! Sent support request to Dreamhost… 4 hours 27 minutes later and not a word. Tweaked wp-cache and enabled FastCGI, but still no joy. Are all the rants about Dreamhost right?

O’ How I Love Thee

If you haven’t tried Starbucks’ Tazo Green Tea Frappuccino Blended Crème, you just don’t know what you are missing. It’s a wonderfully sweet, creamy blend, topped with whipped cream. Free Music Download: Harvey Danger

From the first time I heard the infectious, in your face, and decidedly sardonic song Flagpole Sitta, I was a Harvey Danger fan. Somehow, I missed the fact that their last effort, Little by Little… was released as a DRM-free download on the artist’s website. The band simply asks that if you like the work, [...]

No more. It seems to be happening on [...]

Happy (belated) Birthday, David!

I met David about 17 years ago. We worked together for several years, and our families became very close during that time. It wasn’t uncommon for Jennifer and I to spend weekends hanging out with David and Mary watching a movie, or enjoying the lake (link warning: cheesy music). For years, we vacationed together at [...]

Apple On Vista’s New Security Features

These ads always make me laugh. This one apparantly hasn’t been released yet, but it’s making it’s way around pretty quickly. I have to admit, after using Vista a couple of times recently, this ad really hits home.
