Larry ‘Bud’ Melman dead at 81

Larry ‘Bud’ Melman died today at the age of 81. As a long time Late Night with David Letterman fan, I will never forget those zany interviews where Larry ‘Bud’ Melman often held the microphone in front of his own mouth while his subject spoke, and then reversed the position when he spoke.

Here’s my all time favorite… Larry ‘Bud’ Melman handing out hot towels at the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Calvert DeForest RIP.

Apple On Vista’s New Security Features

These ads always make me laugh. This one apparantly hasn’t been released yet, but it’s making it’s way around pretty quickly. I have to admit, after using Vista a couple of times recently, this ad really hits home.

Internet Closed for Cleaning?

According to a message sent from the Department of Homeland Security dated March 29, 2006, and posted here, the Internet recently had to be closed for cleaning. According to the email,

…the internet will be shut down for cleaning for twenty-four hours from midnight on March 31 through the early hours of April 2. This cleaning is necessary to clear out the “electronic flotsam and jetsam” that has accumulated in the network.

It’s a wonder my blog is still here.
